A birthday should give people more to remember than where they parked. Whether you're planning a milestone celebration, an evening at home, or a birthday dinner, private magic for adults brings your guests into a shared mystery.
Cards refuse to cooperate. Strange objects misbehave. Perfectly sensible people start blaming the furniture. My performances mix close-up magic with the atmosphere of a haunted parlor and the manners of a man who really should know better.

The guest of honor matters more than the number on the cake. A few details help us work out the right birthday entertainment for your group.
The guest of honor & the show
Tell me what makes the guest of honor laugh and how they feel about being part of the action. Comedy magic with props and cards, con-game swindles, bar bets, dice magic, and more are available. A séance can be part of the night, or you can book a traditional-style magic show with no séance at all. All performances are for adults 18 and up; the children can keep the balloon animals.
The time & the guest list
Performance lengths are adjustable; I usually spend one to two hours at a client party. A séance requires two hours. I can perform for events of any size. For a séance, I suggest 10–15 guests, or as many as your dining table can comfortably accommodate.
A station, or walkaround?
Walkaround-style magic is available. I generally recommend a dedicated performance station so guests can join me on their own terms throughout the party. For a birthday dinner, share the meal schedule so we can fit the performance into the celebration.
The room & the setup
I ask for three chairs and a table to work from, or a coffee table with ample audience seating in front and to the sides. I do not use a sound system. We’ll confirm arrival and setup timing before booking.

Is this birthday entertainment for adults?
Yes. My shows are for audiences ages 18 and up, with dark comedy, eerie stories, and audience interaction. Tell me about your guests and their appetite for the spooky. We've got other problems than balloon animals.
Can you perform at a birthday dinner or private home?
Yes. Close-up magic at a dinner party can bring guests together around a table. I ask for three chairs and a table, or a coffee table with ample audience seating in front and to the sides. No sound system is needed. Send your location and guest count so we can plan timing and setup.
Can I book birthday party magic outside Charlotte?
I regularly perform throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. Send your city, venue, and date to discuss availability, travel, and any related costs. I will travel; my night visitors pack light.
What does it cost, and how do I reserve the date?
$500 per hour. Parties outside the Charlotte, NC area have a two-hour minimum. Text or call with your party details for availability and your booking total. A signed agreement and booking retainer reserve the date, with payment and event terms set out in the agreement.
